DAY TWO [20090721]: KABUKI-ZA THEATRE, AKAMON & IKEBUKURO
It was a seriously a tiring day cos of so much standing and walking. It didn't help that I slept late too. Well anyway cousin and I started off with a morning chillout in Starbucks that was located at the Ueno train station
Matcha Blended Cream Frappuccino for the morning! Singapore sells it as well, but I usually stay away from Starbucks cos I'll pick Coffee Bean anytime over Starbucks here. But in Japan, there's no Coffee Bean lol. The first thing I did was to taste the whipped cream (i kind of stay away from Starbucks too cos i think the whipped cream in Singapore's Starbucks sucks) and omg! it is very smooth and fluffy! it just looks abit more solidified than your usual milk froth on top of your hot coffees! ahhhhhhhhhhhh. so *nods* i visited Starbucks there like how i visit Coffee Bean. hehehehehe.
We headed for Kabuki-za theatre located in Ginza to catch a single Kabuki show. Kabuki's the traditional japanese dance-drama. We specially made a trip there to catch a performance because Kabuki-za theatre, Japan's premier kabuki teathre, will be torn down next year to be replaced by another building! Yeahh. We caught the single show known as Kaijin Besso. It lasted about one and a half hours, from about 1:15pm till around 2:45pm. The prince looked like a real-life version of Bleach's Kuchiki Byakuya! kyaaaaa~ He had the long hair with similar headpiece hohoho. and the aura too.
Inside the theatre... haha and my attempt to do an Adorkable Aoi blog photo pose. MEGA FAIL AHAHA. I don't think Aoi grins stupidly the way I did lol but i found it so funny doing that... and TOO FAT COMPARED TO AOI-SHI~ Sigh. why are they all so skinny. they are skinny but muscular at the same time. is that possible. (ok im digressing and thinking to myself cos i saw Kai's latest magazine photos and was shocked to see a picture of him baring his chest in full glory and omg HE IS SO BUILT lol even Uruha! that skin and bones pretty man! i've seen him with awesome arms before in some photos they just grow muscles or smth omg! OMG HOW! HOW DO THEY DO THAT. this world is unfair.)
After Kabuki-za we stopped by HongoSanchome - home of Tokyo University! (you can totally see the uni shit seeping in me... visiting Todai for the fun of it? lol...) The Red Gate (Akamon) is quite a landmark... so... yeah. haha. Took photos there. Oh! Cousin's favourite JRock band Nightmare had a photoshoot there too... and we started to wonder how the scenario was like. Normal University students meet upcoming Visual Kei stars... LOL.
Headed off to Ikebukuro next! By then it was around late afternoon, transiting to evening. Ikebukuro's where all the big departmental stores are located! We also saw many techie buildings like this one - i call it the SEGA building hahaha i have no idea what building it actually is. LOLOL. Well in Ikebukuro we just walked around and shopped.
Passed by HMV and we entered. Saw free flyers at the front, just outside the store and picked up the free DIM flyer. Also took the free HMV magazine that has the GazettE on cover! Inside i found a few magazines that was on my to-buy list (Songs, Fool's Mate, Shoxx) so i got them. Basically after this trip i was just lacking the magazine Arena 37C.. but the trip to HMV at Ikebukuro was spontaneous - i actually planned to visit HMV only on the next day at Shibuya. It was raining though, so the DIM flyers got abit of water on the edge, but it dried up nicely! they look as good as new!
Cousin and I ended up spending the most money on cosmetics in Kokkumin - this watsons-like chain store in Japan that sells tons of cosmetics too. i spent like around 20,000 odd yen there LOL that's like 300odd dollars?! WHAT WAS I THINKING... well anyway, We shopped Uniqlo too.
The salesperson in Kokkumin was very nice. They're not the sticky kind that follows you all around but when you need help they give you all the help you need. I was very amused and interested in this thermometer-like thing they used though. I was looking for a makeup base and so i asked the lady where is it. She took out this thingy and then pressed the tip against my cheek. Then (just like a thermometer) it beeped, and she showed me the reading, with the number 29%. It's supposed to mean my skin's moisture content... so from the reading she deduced i've got oily T-zone (cos she noticed my acne, i wasn't wearing any makeup that day at all) and dry cheeks - what you call your combination skin type. She then went on to recommend a suitable base. They don't push you to buy things at all either. And whether you buy one item or many, they shower you with samples as if it's free flow. I ended up going back with more samples than actual items lol!
Well basically that's for Day Two. I wanted to combine Day Three in this entry but I'm too tired. I actually almost fell asleep just now when i just lied on my bed for less than a minute. i struggled and only crawled up again 20mins later. Arghhhh so tired! I think my Tokyo stuff will end up having one entry for each day hoho. so guys good luck and have fun reading! hehehe.
おやすみ~
p/s: happy birthday Eric! my 3am buddy :D たんじょうび おめでとう!
Hey guys! i know some of you are really excited about my Japan trip updates, but i've got uni stuff to handle and everything so i'm pretty busy now. Anyway, i will still update the first day for all of you first!
yes, the first day is the day i went for the gazette's live! HOORAY!
DAY ONE [20090720]: Check-in + DIM SCENE Live Report
Cousin and I reached Tokyo in the morning, and reached the hotel at around 10plus. Left our luggage there and got our tickets from the front counter (our tickets are mailed to the hotel)
the tickets!!!
When we were flying on the plane my cousin and i were still wondering if our money will get cheated lol like if we don't get the tickets or something HAHAHA! being paranoid la i guess. But yeah. we got the tickets!
幸せです![shiawase desu!] [Happiness!]
We could only check-in at 1pm, so we left our luggages with the hotel and went to explore Ameyoko Street in our neighbourhood, Ueno.
It's like filled with street stalls and stuff. There's discount stores, perfume stores, wet market section and some electronics and arcades. We just pretty much walked there till check-in time.
When we returned, cousin and I just quickly showered, do our hair and make-up and everything and rushed to Ichikawa for the live. We went early to join the queue for tour goods, which opens 2hours before the concert.
On the way to the cultural hall... We just followed the flags that were hanging on those lamp posts hahahaha. Saw many cosplayers and interesting people!! then i got really excited hehehe. When we reached we immediately joined the queue to get the tour goods. Managed to get everything we wanted ^^
After that we just waited outside the cultural centre for the live to start... many many many different groups of people were around. and there were many cosplayers!!
LOL you can see a couple of cosplayers in the background in this photo... i think it was Distress and Coma Ruki and Reita.
I saw a really beautiful Uruha cosplayer... It's not like the costume was exceptionally good that stands out from the rest of the Uruha cosplayers there, but the aura around her was attractive. It just felt like she could pull off Uruha easily. When i wanted to go up and request for a photo she walked away and into the cultural hall and never appeared again -heartbroken-
I saw a very good Guren Ruki+Uruha+Reita cosplay team too. They had someone cosplaying the girl in the PV as well. The Reita was exceptionally good. The costume was right, the feel was right and even the hair and make up was really good. Just that you can tell her hair is abit too long.. but she still managed to pull off the spikey mohawk very well! it really looked like the real thing!!! But i didn't have enough courage to approach the whole team for a photo T_T totally regretted it.
By 5pm the crowd has grown and gathered and multiplied and we started queuing to enter the hall... queuing was quite a procedure too. ahaha.
When we entered the hall the first thing we did was really admire the pre-live setting. The curtain was awesome. The whole setting was so... DIM-ish. Cousin and I can't help but admire that piece of artwork there. We were seated 2nd storey, 7th row, centre aisle! the view was not too bad pretty good, the sound was good too. hehe.
When the live started, the curtain came off and revealed 6 screens in the background on the wall. It continuously played images that fitted well into the theme of every song. Prelude to the whole concert was 「剥離」 Hakuri and while the instrumental slowly set everyone into the DIM mood while looking at the band members' silhouettes. Once it ended up the band started the live with a blast with IN THE MIDDLE OF CHAOS with Ruki letting out his epic scream in the beginning. The fast catchy tune helped to start up the atmosphere and everyone started to get really excited and you can really feel the whole amazing flow of energy! After that Reita took his chance and funked up his bass playing as the song transits into A MOTH UNDER THE SKIN and the atmosphere and crowd continues to get higher and higher in the string of catchy songs. By the time it hit LEECH the crowd was already totally hyped out, screaming and echoing Ruki's lyrics.
Ruki then started off his talking and a proper intro (i think, couldn't understand most of the words he said sadly) and came the main body of the concert, starting with DIM's representative song THE INVISIBLE WALL. It was AMAZING. Kai's drumming was steady and strong, and Uruha and Aoi's guitar was in sync perfectly. It was amazing to hear the song live. It was really breathtaking. It then transited into 13STAIRS[-]1 with heavy guitars and a purposely made lethargic Ruki voice that emphasised the song's feel. The pace slowly started to slow down gradually when it reached Distress and Coma, where the crowd followed the song with synchronised actions.
The pace reached a full calm down when 「感触」 Kanshouku was played as an interlude while Uruha, Aoi and Reita changed their instruments and prepared for the slower paced songs. They started again with 白き優鬱 Shiroki Yuu Utsu with Aoi's acoustic guitar and a light-hearted tune. my cousin was bundled with joy when she heard her fave song from DIM. Aoi's guitar solo was flawless! awesome skillful shit. It then went gloomier with 泣ケ原 Nakigahara, arguably one of the strongest contenders for being my fave DIM song. It was beautiful, tho cousin mentioned she felt there was a slight out of sync with the guitars for a short while, but Ruki managed to cover it up with his powerful vocals. The unique arrangement of the Drums for this song also made my cousin's eyes fixated on Kai.
Following Nakigahara naturally was 「エリカ」 Erika, and i almost cried when i saw the instrument preparation during this interval - Uruha had an acoustic guitar! Then that was when, i knew immediately, the next song would be WITHOUT A TRACE and i quietly thanked the band in my heart because i remember how weeks before the live when i read the personal Uruha interview translation i got really interested in hearing Without A Trace live because Uruha said he was the one playing the acoustic, and how Aoi in the beginning objected to the song being selected to be part of the single because it was not practical for a live song. I secretly prayed everyday the band will show how awesome they are and play this live, to show how they can overcome all difficulties, to show once again how their songs are not just good in recordings, but anytime regardless live or not. and they did. It was not just Uruha on the acoustic, but it was a double acoustic with Aoi. It was something like DLN.
When they started playing, i couldn't control myself and yes i teared (starts cursing at smudging makeup). First i got my dream of watching the live come true, and now it was as if heaven was indulging me by granting me my selfish wish of a specific live song request. I was really thankful for this song, and i closed my eyes several times and savoured every note. I was really grateful for it.
After that Ruki started talking again, and then proceeded with older songs and started off with Hyena to get the atmosphere back into the explosive mood. AGONY was next, and after that the crowd really reached the highest level when they started playing Filth in the beauty and you can literally see the whole audience headbanging to the song and enjoying every bit of it. The feelings rode on as the heavy songs like COCKROACH and DISCHARGE were played. At one point somewhere around here (can't remember exactly which song though), cousin saw Uruha approaching Ruki and apparently kissed him! i was busy enjoying and headbanging to songs LOL -faints- ANYWAY, i told you i told you i told you! URUKI PAIRING IS THE BEST EVER. EVAAAAAAAAR. Muahahaha. The mood got even higher when the heavy songs were joined in by a DIM song, OGRE and by then the crowd, every single person, have headbanged to the maxxxxx.
DIM SCENE was played and the crowd was tranced into a very solemn mood and enjoyed this very beautiful song. The interlude 「朦朧」 Mourou was played and served as the ending to the live that was filled with so much mixed emotions. When the band left the stage, the crowd chanted encore and gazette really have one of the most passionate fanbase ever. the encore chants were so strong and never wavering. But the live was so good, i think anyone would have requested the encore this strongly.
Kai and Reita appeared as usual for the first song on the encore setlist, Ride with the ROCKERS. I love Reita with a bandana over his nose and mouth. i just love that badass biker look of his that pops out when he puts that on instead of the noseband. HEHEHE. and Kai was extremely cuteeeeee! when he said smth and expected a response, the crowd ironically was all quiet. and then he let out an "eh?" and you hear an explosion of giggles with girls all melting in his cuteness. when that happened he gave his signature bashful grin and started talking again. super uber cute. and when they were gonna start, the "yosh!" by Kai and Reita was super cute. cousin was totally smitten with the cute drummer's behaviour that was oh-so-different from her Nightmare's Ruka (who btw is never talking, and has the who gives a shit attitude hahaha). Uruha and Aoi joined in the song later on, and Ride with the ROCKERS became a mini band play, minus Ruki. Uruha also started to run down the aisles and sent the crowd at the front crazy. Then it went to GO TO HELL and all the energy was literally flooding. I think by then (can't really remember when it exactly when) Aoi's holey shirt-like thingy came off and it was like just his blazer and a majestic view of his chest *major nosebleeds* hahahha! Just when we thought the maximum was already reached, the crowd went higher to another level with THE $OCIAL RIOT MACHINE$ with tons of Ruki thrusting as well (HEHEHEHE) not to mention this is one of my fave heavy songs of gazette. i was enjoying every bit of it. and the biggest surprise followed and made my day with SILLY GOD DISCO I NEVER THOUGHT I'D HEAR THIS LIVE. OMG. it's the sexiest song alive and when it started playing i was just patiently waiting for Uruha's very seductive guitar solo... and woo. i will die for Uruha-sama anyday anytime just to hear his guitarrrr. a little bit of Uruki fanservice there too, although nothing major.
Ruki spoke again, and then we were literally screaming at each other hahahaha and more songs ensued, next one being 関東土下座組合 Kantou Dogeza Kumiai By then everyone around us were so high, the girl in front of me was literally kneeling/sitting on the floor headbanging and everyone around was almost doing the same. the crowd was crazily high. the live had a perfect finale by finishing off with LINDA ~candydive pinky heaven~, where you can literally feel the whole hall coming together as one big family, leaving everyone with beautiful memories.
at the end of the whole concert, the stage lit up with the words DIM SCENE in the background. Cousin and I had the time of our lives. I couldn't even walk straight, and had to cling onto my cousin for support while walking to the train station. It was crazy. But we both agreed every cent we spent on it was well spent, and we could fly back home with no regrets even if the rest of the week's plan was abandoned.
I felt that i've learnt alot more about the band after seeing them live for the first time. I thought Uruha, being my favourite member, I'll just keep staring or focus more on him during the live, but i was wrong. During the live no one snatched more limelight from the rest, it was very balanced. I felt that if i didn't take in the full band as one my memories and enjoyment would be incomplete. It truly shows how spectacular they are, and it is very difficult for a band to achieve such a perfect balance. They were, are and will continue to be amazing. It is the best experience of my life.
The stuff i got from the live! I bought the tour pamphlet, bracelet, handphone strap, the white t-shirt, tank top and towel.
there were members of upcoming Visual Kei bands giving out flyers outside the hall when we were on the way back from the live... i took most of them i think.
flyer announcing gazette's new single that was given in the PSC magazine before the live.
bracelet + 2 handphone straps (one for ling!)
pamhplet that was more like an artbook... Uruha *_____*
Ruki as usual comes up with the best phrases ever HAHAHA "CHANNEL RAPE" WOO.
i love this shirt! i think it's damn pretty. has the song title "A MOTH UNDER THE SKIN" on the front and "DIM SCENE" at the back. really really pretty.
the tank top has the song title "IN THE MIDDLE OF CHAOS" and a gorgeous emblem behind with all the dates and venues for the various DIM SCENE lives.
and the perfect ending before i drift into my sweet dreams, my phone was switched to DoCoMo's network. DoCoMo's Uruha's fave keitai brand hehehe.
Well that was my first day in Tokyo. Started off with a very explosive blast ne! well the live was really good. よかったですね~ ほんとに たのしかった! [it was really good ne~ was really fun!]

JUST IN TIME
FLYING TO TOKYO IN LESS THAN 24HRS!!!!
OKAY. tell you the most amazing thing. just when i was still sighing to myself this morning thinking that i will not see my copy of DIM before i fly to Japan, my sister barged into my room screaming "THE POSTMAN IS HEREEEEEE" and can you imagine my excitement. my first press edition DIM album reached my doorstep today. and my first thought was, "just in time! kyaa~~~~!"
happily opened it up and saw all my goodies. and found out the album jacket of DIM limited edition is HOLOGRAPHIC!!! ahh. i couldn't stop looking at the album at diff angles to see the different images. HOHOHO. awesome shit. and then scream at the sight of my poster (and it was packaged with URUHA's face on the outside OMG!) and my calendar and the stickers and stuff like that. HAHA. made my day totally.
then i went for Jap class from 1 to 4. Lol sensei asked me when am i going Tokyo. then i was like "TMR!" looooool. and he asked me to take care before i left class. then me and yuanshan went on a mega-fast time-racing challenge of chiong-ing to Kinokuniya to check out magazines + eat MOS burger before 5pm reaches LOL. I saw the new copy of CD Data and under the influence of yuanshan's "BUY LA! GOT POSTER LEH" i bought it. LOL. gazette giant poster *_______*
well then i rushed home and got dressed for dear Karmy's farewell dinner at Fullerton. Had champagne, wine, mega good food and stuff. super awesome. and i heard the college anthem as Karmy's friends from choir decided to sing it for her to relive some memories before she leave. I think every ACJC grad present must have felt something. it was so nostalgic. Ahaha. i kind of miss it, the college anthem. Well, i left early after the dinner ended cos i have't packed my luggage omg.... And as i am typing away they are partying at Butter Factory's VIP Room. Ahhh.
ANYWAY, RAWKSTAR CAME BACK FROM THE FIRST DIM SCENE LIVE ALREADY. and she scanned this pamphlet for us. OMG LA, NEW SINGLE! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG! the GazettE new single - Before I Decay. Due to be out on October 7th, 2009 OMGGGGG. SO FAST. I HAVENT EVEN CRAZE FINISH DIM YET. omg. this is making me so excited. i am so going to get the pamphlet also... hopefully. LOL.

Let's deliver nonfiction, a song like misfortune pride
3 more days to gazeboys in flesh!!!
ALRIGHT. met cousin today and finalised itinerary. That's it. We're all planned for what we're gonna do there and stuff.
the GazettE live and Matenrou Opera Live *_______*
oh, the GazettE's promotional posters are plastered all over Harajuku's train station walkway walls - OMG. can you believe it! hahaha! gigantic faces of theirs all over. -dies- i'm so going to take many pics of that.
Anyway, NUS almost drove me nuts when i got home ytd to receive an e-mail from them to decide on this module placement thingy by today. i panicked and asked xinling for a crash course on module bidding HAHAHA ok this makes me sound very dumb but yeah. well anw i sent in my reply alr.
Yesterday well before i got that e-mail i was out for movie and dinner with sophia carolyn and karmy. watched thread of destiny and it was... ok. it was sad and everything but i thought it was quite unrealistic for some situations. this movie supposedly won Koizora (Sky of love) in Japan's box office but i think Koizora was better.
carolyn joined in for dinner (couldn't make it for movie due to work) and then we ate and chatted. Took neoprints after that... i swear i have put on weight again HAHA so much for losing weight but aiya. hopefully japan is interesting enough that i will not think of food... although japan's food is like mega awesome also. most prob i will scrimp abit on food and hopefully i'll lose weight through it too HAHAHA.
Ah. need to plan a checklist now, to make sure I don't forget anything when i pack my luggage. ^^ ja ne, minna-san!
"Sorrow made you, Sorrow made you, Sorrow made you, in the bottom of the dark sea...
in the maze without an end... why do you still breathe?"

HAPPY DIM DAY
HAPPY DIM DAY!
every person who listens to gazette should celebrate this day! finally, after the agonizing wait of 2 years, a new album ^^ and probably their best up to date.
1 DAY to the official release of DIM! 5 days to me flying to Tokyo! gazeboys in flesh!!!
Right. Errr. some post-DIM-listening comments first. On my itunes, it says that I've played... *goes check* an average of about 10-15 times for DIM for each track. I am pleasantly surprised because it shows that i do have a difficult time deciding a favourite or favourite tracks. It is the first time I actually cannot find a track I dislike or even just feel okay about (i did pick tracks to listen to for Disorder, NIL and Stacked Rubbish). okay maybe except Shikyuu, because it is just SCARY ok now i will never ever want a baby that kind of feeling LOL. But in terms of the effect Ruki wanted to achieve and make us feel... i think it's a sure 10/10 no? I'm sure it was to make us feel the fear and disgust and everything.
And after a few more listens the list below took abit of changes. I do like 13STAIRS[-]1 and HEADACHE MAN alot now... so guys just imagine i bold it k i'm too lazy to edit. and i'd like to leave the entry below as a memory of first impression.
I think this album is so coherent. Definitely, it fits this big image that creates the title DIM. this is a breakthrough isn't it? For the boys in terms of their music, and how much they've matured.
and Uruha wrote DIM SCENE OMG. i totally couldn't believe it when my cousin told me. It is so not him! I think he has really given all these around him serious thought. For him to write a song out of his usual likings, and wrote it more for the band... and with it turning into such an epic song! so yes, he is not a dumb blonde. and his hair is not blonde anymore. (:
---
Okay I've finally received my DIM SCENE live seat number. I'm around the middle area, level2. And the tour goods pricings are out. Too bad no pics... Can't decide for sure what i'll get. crap i'm spending a bomb in Tokyo!!!!!!
Stayed up till 4am yesterday to get all my transport planned out! finally it's done. from what train, to which platform, to how much. Woo. I am so proud of myself.
1. 「剥離」 HAKURI 2. THE INVISIBLE WALL 3. A MOTH UNDER THE SKIN 4. LEECH 5. 泣ヶ原 NAKIGAHARA / NAKEHARA?(not sure about this one for romaji) 6. 「エリカ」 ERIKA 7. HEADACHE MAN 8. 紅蓮 GUREN 9. 子宮 SHIKYUU 10. 13STAIRS[-]1 11. DISTRESS AND COMA 12. 感触 KANSHOKU 13. 白き優鬱 SHIROKI YUU UTSU 14. IN THE MIDDLE OF CHAOS 15. 朦朧 MOUROU 16. OGRE 17. DIM SCENE
IT IS ALREADY LEAKED.
and yes sorry i downloaded it such a shame. but i need to listen the songs and feel/remember them asap to enjoy my live too! at least i bought the original too but i still can't wait for my copy to reach.
-btw bold titles means i'm rockin/lovin that song- I think DIM is easily THE best album of theirs. FUCK THE MAINSTREAM SHIT. they are totally sounding like them, they haven't lost it. Their sound is unmistakable. Even if they do not sound as punk (or whatever you want to call it) as before, it's no doubt, the sound of the GazettE. and this album proves it. I get many moments that felt like the younger sound of gazette (i'm talking about Disorder era) is there, just that they have grown so much deeper. This album is really a form of IDENTITY.
You don't know how long I've been waiting for something like that. Yes, i have the same opinions. i think Ruki got lazy in writing melodies (hahaha that was just a joke) but yeah. the melodies in terms of vocals are rather repetitive and simple this time round for some songs, but production-wise, this album is simply godsend. The transitions, the distortions, effects... top-notch. I'm already headbanging in my room at the first listen!
i guess my only disappointment was that "Erika" was not a remake of "Reila" despite such similar style in name. I really miss "Reila". I wish they'd go out of their usual way this time and do smth like that for just one song... haha. I really wonder how they will sound like now, playing "Reila". I am really, really curious.
COUSIN: TIE UR HAIR AT THE LIVE. SRSLY. THIS ALBUM IS FILLED WITH HEADBANGING SHIT. i am getting so high just by listening to the album (despite it being dark and stuff). This is really a mix of emotion. The kind that sends shivers down your spine and make your hair stand... oh man!!

Tired, but feeling accomplished!
Uruha @ NEC Power Countdown Radio Interview with Aoi, 11th July 2009.
gorgeous. Uruha-san wa kakkoii-desu! *______* his hair... omg!!! i'm a sucker for his hairstyles. i love it.
and his giggles are absolutely cute.
They talked something about the guitars being difficult to play in the song THE INVISIBLE WALL. and something about deciding who will be the lead guitarist and Aoi kind of said there isn't really a way to decide, it's more of a case by case thing etc... i understood abit here and there but most of the time they still spoke too fast for me to catch, or i just don't understand. But i've seen that i've improved! i used to be able to understand NOTHING. even after elementary1 classes. Now i can catch sentences hehehe.
ah, feeling accomplished today. not leaving any blanks for katakana test (my elementary1 hiragana tests were horrendous! left so many blanks even after so many tests that were exactly the same!), and able to figure out some speech. Feels good. I want to master this very beautiful language.
がんばります! (i will try my best!)

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE?
5 days to the official release of DIM! 9 days to me flying to Tokyo! gazeboys in flesh!!!
wth! NUS health check discovered i have high blood pressure. It was at 134 (max normal for our age is 120, i checked on the internetttt) what the! i told my dad about it and he was shocked beyond words... crap.
well anyway during doc's consultation she checked again and my BP was charted at 120. so ended up i passed. but still, 120 is really at the higher end. i need to do smth abt it. high BP at my age? ohmygod. i feel like dying at this very moment.
... must be too many, uncountable exciting moments of gazette hotness
went town later on with my sis and dad. i applied for my own kino card (yay finally!), and bought a past issue of Silver Accessories Magazine (which is like, i think Uruha or Reita's fave mag btw, can't rmb who of this 2 was it) with gazette on the cover.
omg la, the accessories sent me many "ooh"s and "woaaaaaaah"s and "omg i want this!"s cos they are just awesome. why do Japan keep all of these stuff to themselves! oh and DEALDESIGN owns. haha. i'm in love with the Deal Tears series. There were a few other brands whose style i've picked an interest on too... shall flip the mag with more detail when i get time tmr (i only just hastily flipped through the magazine when i was on the way home)
and oh. the accessories are MEGA CRAZY EXPENSIVE. all ranging in like 5 digits yen. omfg. how do all these people find the money to buy them. and fyi most of them are made of silver. do you know how cheap silver is in Singapore (but some designs srsly sucks) as compared to in Japan?! but i guess it's also cos those are considered branded. sigh~
Anyway, today was the last paper of the two boys for mid years. I hope they did okay. i asked about geog, but i'm actually concerned for the rest of their papers too. hope overall they'll do okay. well that marks the end of intensive tutoring for me too. I need to get some proper sleep...
meeting yuanshan tmr! gonna see her fangirl over koichi, then flip magazines and i fangirl over gazette and her over reita, then maybe teach her photoshop if we are actually still alive after that.
last thing. why haven't anyone uploaded MaitoreiA's new single! i want it so badly. i've listened to the preview more than 10 times alr. i just want the full thing...! and cousin if you're here - i can't see the similarity they share with vidoll at all... sorry =/ lol
...and i just found out that clinique superfit liquid foundation is only 35.50 at the airport. it's 50 at the normal counters. i'm so bloody gonna get it if they have my shade. freaking cheap. tax is such a rip off. pfft.

Introducing MaitoreiA
Yay for Zy.47! i am so in love with it. Now it's nicely wrapped with plastic cover and stuff so it'll always be in good condition ^^
anyway, i was viewing the bonus disc given with the magazine. It features stuff like photoshoots, behind the scene comments etc. of course the gazette's photoshoot was in it. Kai being the leader gave a comment about their new album and upcoming tour and stuff (btw his hair now is uber nice!) i actually like Kai's cuteness. He's adorable. Check out the pic below that was from the NIL album photoshoot:
so cute right! awww kawaii! and lol with my very adorkable Uru grinning behind cos they (Uruha, Ruki and Reita) managed to successfully bully Kai-kun. Hahaha.
then my itunes detected songs/mp3s in the disc. played it and got 2 song previews. After listening, i actually liked the sound of one of the bands. Then i started frantically searching for the file cos i wanted to know which artist and what song. bloody hell. cannot find. LOL. i wanted to die. later on i figured out the comment recorded before must be the band playing the song so i listened to the comment. and i heard NIGHTMARE. i was like HUH? cannot be la! LOL. they major alr don't need give previews on discs like that etc! lol.
then i gave up after awhile. until maine came over to my place. And i played the preview for her and now she's in love with it HAHAHA. anw we listened hard and under her v clever suggestion of "the artist must be in the magazine ma! if not give preview for what" i found out it's (definitely) not Nightmare LOL but MaitoreiA! the confusion was cos, in Japan, Nightmare is pronounced as "Na-i-toh-meh-ah" and the MaitoreiA is, well, "Ma-i-toh-rei-ah" which sounds pretty similar. oh well.
Here's MaitoreiA for you! they are a very, very new band. in fact when maine also liked the song we decided to search and see what song is it etc. and we found out it's their first single! and it's released on 8th july aka TODAY LOL. we totally laughed at our stupidity.
Well i like the sound of them. So if you like JRock or want something loud and new... can check out the preview i embedded below. I hope the whole song will be as promising as it seems. I'll be interested to see what they will sound like!
btw guys, i added a new section in my sidebar featuring my desktop! so you guys can get to see what wallie i'm currently using, since i like to change it pretty often. Currently it's of course the picture I've been waiting for - and finally got it today. Weehehe.

disarm the dream tickler
went out with maine in the late afternoon/evening today. Eh. bought stuff... despite knowing i should be saving. But oh well. i got some stuff that i deem rather "necessary". but no la, i didn't overspend alot or anything. maine at one point exclaimed i actually gained some practicality ever since i started saving for Japan. haha. awesome.
photos that we took borrowing the superb lighting in the toilet. HAHAHA.
today while on the train to meet maine... i was dozing off. and then i had this tiny dream for a second. i was at my home's doorstep. and that uruha was standing behind me and whispered into my ear, "reila... okaeri (welcome home)"
i think i opened my eyes so wide suddenly that i shocked the lady infront of me... as though i'm some vampire that has awakened. hahaha! but yeah. shit. i'm starting to hallucinate. i self-confess that i'm obssessed with that beautiful man.
but then again if any other gazette member ever did that to me i'll most prob still jump as high as uruha doing it to me. ok so i shall change my sentence. i am obssessed with the gazette, especially that beautiful man Uruha.
yes i am. *smacks head* i need to wake up!! but then this dream is too beautiful to wake up from *____*
recently i've been disturbed by the fact i do not understand how instruments work. all i judge accordingly is through my intuition and feelings. it has reached its limit... or my patience of curiosity has reached its limit. i keep probing on things like how to tell the different guitar parts apart, how do they do this, how do they do that, how did they interpret the music with their instruments with different techniques. how how how. all the technicalities. sure i can read.. but playing an instruments allows a special kind of understanding to be built too, ne? ah. i want to experience that too...
oh and i've been feeling this thingy in me coming back. before i fall asleep i started looking around my room. all i see is emptiness sometimes. and i start to long for someone sleeping beside me again. it's a normal feeling for humans no? but still. sigh.
i wonder if the gazette boys feels that way too. i mean when talking abt past relationships they always relate back to like middle school. THAT IS SO LONG AGO. i wonder throughout if they ever thought of such stuff. i bet they did feel something... at least Ruki did? if not how did he write those lyrics. but then again... oh well.
*gasp* maybe they are sleeping with each other!!! -screams- okay. pure imagination of a fangirl.

COUNTING DOWN
10 days to the release of DIM!!!!!!!! 14 days to me flying to JAPAN!! MY GAZEBOYS IN FLESH!!!!!!!
today i experienced a horrifying moment. I was getting ready to go out and was putting on my make up. I was in a happy with a slight tinge of excitement mood cos i was gonna use my newly purchased MAC Studiofix liquid foundation. then dadeedum i put on my foundation and was satisfied with it, and then while closing the cap back onto the bottle, i dropped it. and the bottle crashed onto the floor into pieces, with that beige fluid splattered all over the floor and my cupboard door. IT WAS HORRIFYING. i was sooooo pissed. that bottle was less than 3 days old!!! and i spilled a year's worth of foundation on the floor. i only managed to salvage the last quarter of it that was still intact and clean in the broken bottle.
i was so pissed.
and it was 47dollars okay. if it was during previous days most prob i'll just be pissed for awhile. but now i'm going japan!!! and 47dollars! it's the amount i planned for Japan to buy TokyoBanana goodies back!!! RAAAAAAAH!
ok rant's over. time for some stuff to cheer me up.
this is Uruha in his normal clothing! i think he looks awesome!!! he has super street fashion sense!! i love it love it love it! This is how guys should look like when they go out to town or something!!! actually i think Aoi has pretty good street fashion sense too (i've got some pics of him in normal clothes as well). but for the other guys.. i haven't seen much so i can't comment. I've seen a fair bit of Ruki, but eh~ usually the set up is not very street-like either, altho it's not visual kei too. so i shall wait till i see more before i decide.
but well~ that's the closest thing I have of Uruha in his recent everyday image... because the makeup's not very heavy too. how do i know? look at the closeup pic where he posed with Ruki (who looks like a pissed cat btw hahaha i love the image of Chibi ruki being pissed i think it's cute when he scowls). Click on it to zoom btw. if you look through ruki's shades, he isn't wearing any eye makeup!! and his skin... i don't think he wore any foundation too. and uru don't look so gentle here too, there's a more masculine feel to it. so i guess it's really minimal in terms of making up. Too bad Uruha's shades are too dark, can't see anything much.
lol, last thing about that pic up there - *makes fun of Ruki's height in comparison to Uru's* LOL hat to make up for height difference LOL Ruki-kun, chibi Ruki-kun kawaii~ x3
BTW, those were screenshots from an interview. it was a loooooong interview. and many times Uruha just burst out laughing!! so adorkable!!! i wish he laughed more often like that. it makes me start giggling and laugh too.
