In The Maze Without An End
Sorry guys, was too tired / busy to update. Plus nobody's tagging despite me knowing you ARE reading my blog... So i'm abit not motivated to blog. But NEVERMIND, i must finish recording my Tokyo trip...!
ANYWAY please help me by clicking on that purple box on your left every time you visit my blog! I adopted a
Chibi Uruha! so i really really wanna see it grow soon! right now it's still stuck in that DIM box which is like, the egg. So... onegaishimasu!
DAY FIVE [20090724]: Harajuku Maze!
Ah! the day has come!
Harajuku, where many fashion shops as well as subculture brands thrive. Not to mention the overpowering number of Crepe stalls. It's like Haji lane expanded to like 20 times its size. So it was quite a maze (so don't you think the lyric i chose from gazette's song is v appropriate for the blog post title here? hehehe). Luckily we had a very detailed and useful map.

Had MOS Burger for brunch... tastes exactly like Singapore's hahaha. That's a good thing! At least something from Japan tastes like how it's supposed to be here. Phewww.

Once we got off the train, we walked into
Takeshita Dori (Street) It was pretty crowded. Here you see quite a number of idol shops, a few punk apparel shops too. Some normal fashion shops and a Daiso as well. Cousin and I shopped abit in Daiso, and i visited one of the idol shops too!

At the end of Takeshita Dori you'll reach a junction, which is where this street links to
Meiji Dori. Most people will probably explore Meiji Dori because a few international brands are there, like Birkenstock and Mango.
La Foret is located on this street too. But cousin and I ventured into the smaller lanes, starting from
Harajuku Street, to find all the shops and brands we are interested in looking at. It started to rain a lil at this point of time too.

first stop was Gouk and Kikou. These two brands are under this company, and they specialise in selling Kimono prints apparel and accessories. It's something like our Kokon Tozai... except that it's cheaper there. Like nicer and much cheaper. Cousin got herself -another- bag here.

After walking to Kikou/Gouk, we actually found ourselves at
Cat Street, one of the main roads in this huge alley maze. We simply walked down the whole lane to head for the next shop... a shop i wanted to go... HEHEHE. Passed by PUTUMAYO, a pretty famous lolita brand.

And *DRUMROLL* THIS IS THE SHOP I'VE BEEN DYING TO GO! and what shop is it? HAHAHA (yiteng i think you will scream) it's
DEAL DESIGN! Yes, I saw Reita-san's collaboration with them, the Snaked Lows bracelet hohoho! I couldn't stop exclaiming about Reita in that shop. Hehehehe.

Anyway the moment we stepped into the shop, i started looking frantically for that piece i fell in love with the moment i saw it online. AND I SAW IT. the moment i saw it i squealed, and actioned my cousin to come see it. The moment she saw it she went "OMG it's damn nice!" hahaha. Then i tried it on. Wahaha. Then she tried it on too... but lol she's now currently too old to enjoy 'heavy' stuff. therefore now she's turning into hippie style... so it suits her age AND her new idol *YUU* lol! Well i kept walking back to look at Reita's collaboration, until the sales dude asked me in English, "do you like gazette?" i immediately let out a very loud "HAI!" lol. must have scared the shit out of him. HAHAHA. Anyway, will show you my cousin and my buy later. -keeps all of you in suspense HAHAHA-

Hopped to
Hangry & Angry's shop further down the street, after some turns too. Stayed in there awhile... the stuff were cute, but i already had gotten too many handphone straps. Sighh~ i got myself a bracelet tho. Cousin got a towel and a pair of earrings if i rmb correctly.

Our last stop for shopping was
Closet Child, their Harajuku CD branch. This branch sells all the JRock, Visual Kei CDs and DVDs, as well as past issues of magazines and 2nd hand goods related to these bands. I got myself two past issues of gazette-cover magazine. One's shockwave (issue 14), the other's Shoxx Bis (issue 14 too!). I saw this Black Moral white purse that i was so tempted to buy! but cousin kept telling me that i won't use it. and i gave it up. Now when i think about it, damn! i want it! i'm gonna ask my friend who's going Tokyo to help me see if it's still there. I so want it now! It's gorgeous! and i found a use for it! gahhh!

We started walking back to the train station after that, and made a turn to this hairdressing salon. Made an appointment for Sunday for a haircut, since cousin and i planned to come back to Harajuku on Sunday to catch the cosplayers too. then we walked through Takeshita Dori again to get ourselves back. As planned, we stopped to grab a crepe (Harajuku's kinda famous for crepes) for ourselves. We went for the store that is famous for
Gackt and
Domoto Tsuyoshi patronising them before. HAHAHA. They did that for some variety show challenge. Yeah. It was yummy ^^

HAHAHA, okay, i came to Harajuku by the Tokyo Metro. and we planned to take the JR line back because, BECAUSE! OF THIS! i saw it on the gazette's official home page~ as in the news, that their posters will be up all over Harajuku's walkway. and there! AHHHHHH~ i was a mad fangirl blocking everybody's way, while snapping pictures of them during the peak hour hohoho.

ahhhh *___* too pretty! that picture of him is just sooooo sexy, so beautiful. couldn't help it. -planted a kiss on Uruha- So this ended my Harajuku trip for the day. Ahh, happy ending. Yes, i was grumpy and tired cos we walked so much. but cos of the gazette posters, i am a happy girl. ^^

Tadah! finally, buys for the day! Got some gazette photos from one of the idol shops, and the last pic to show my hangry & angry bracelet~

AND HERE IS MY DEALDESIGN BUY! isn't it gorgeous!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! i love it! i must thank my cousin forever for this! Eternally grateful! if not for her credit card i will never get the chance to buy this! and it was the last piece!!! AHHHH!! arigato gozaimasu! *_____* oh, btw. umm. it costed 33,600 yen. that was around... SGD 500 plus bucks? OMG
DONT SHOOT ME PLEASE.

Cousin's DealDesign buy - it's from the same series as my bracelet. She got the ring. 8,400 yen. Pretty too ne~ There's a rose gold and black version too.

Spent the night writing to Ling - my first letter to her! with the tour good and a Ruki photo for her birthday ^^ then stupid me thought i lost her address. Then i found it like 2 days later. ZZZ. i had to like p/p/p/s on her letter, flooding the whole paper with that. LOL.
Yeah. Harajuku was quite a sight~ Fun for people like my cousin and i who enjoyed exploring all the small shops cos of the stuff they sell. Hehehe.
Well, late alr, i gotta go! So tired. It's alr 4am. Bah! Oyasumi!
