In The Middle of Chaos
DAY SIX [20090725]: Natsumatsuri & Odaiba

My trip to Tokyo was really kind of lucky in a sense that many events and stuff were happening all within that week. We had two lives (and so lucky that my cousin and i both got to see our fave bands - we missed
Nightmare's by just one week too btw) and it happened that the weekend we were spending in Japan was also their
Natsumatsuri (Summer Festival). So cousin and i made a trip to
Asakusa, which is in a walkable distance from our Ueno neighbourhood, to visit their famous
Sensoji Temple.

It was really reaaaaaally crowded. Once you enter the temple you see the first walkway being a sheltered market kind of setting. You have many stores there selling different stuff - tea leaves and canisters, dried goodies, handmade accessories etc.

Many girls were in their Yukatas, some guys too. It was cute to see couples come in Yukatas together too! Some were really sweet.

After the sheltered market walkway, it was an open area with many food stalls and some game stalls too. Cousin and I bought takoyaki to try! Nomnomnom. Better than Singapore's! But according to cousin, lousier than Osaka's! lol.

I had a go at the lot thingy. You know, the chinese thingy where you make a donation then u shake this can and wait for a lot (which looks like a chopstick) to drop out, then get ur reading...

i got a damn good reading la! lol. anyway click on the pic if u wanna read - thre's actually some english translation there to tell me what it means! Wow, if my life is so smooth-sailing i'll be like, wow. LOL

cousin's try didn't go that smoothly tho. Got an unlucky one. So she tied it - you're supposed to like tie the bad ones.

After the whole temple visiting thingy we headed for
Odaiba. Crossed the Tokyo bay ne~ it was quite a beautiful view. Saw the
Rainbow Bridge too, but too bad it was in the day - not lit up and stuff.

ahh, Odaiba feels exactly like Singapore's CBD ne? in terms of the landscape. i felt like i was in Singapore. lol. the crowd wasn't there though~ just a little bit. not as packed as Singapore's.

we had lunch at Yoshinoya. Then we were walking towards
Palette Town when we saw this
GUNDAM Truck that serves as advertisements. i rmb gazette using this for Guren too! AHHH.

Saw the famous Ferris Wheel too~ this was already in Palette Town.
Venus Fort is located in the Palette Town vicinity too!

Ah! we saw this livehouse,
Zepp Tokyo! Many bands have performed here before too~ but no we didn't go for a third live (laughs) we just happened to see it. we didn't know it was located here.

Venus Fort's this shopping mall.. but what is special is the architecture. It was really really pretty. There wasn't much to shop here unfortunately. It does have the punk brand
Royal Order though. Some international brand names like Mango too.
Well Day 6 was... a really normal day. We were normal tourists, and just... well it wasn't that exciting. Except the morning cos it was abt the traditional stuff.

Well we're pretty much done with our trip after Day Six - there was only the trip back to Harajuku for our haircut the next day, and 2 days later flying back to Singapore. These are my cousin's buys for the whole trip!

And these are my buys for the whole trip after 6 days! xD wahaha! Well of course there were some last minute buys in Harajuku the nxt day, but yeah this is the overall.
That's it for Day 6! Yeah, not a very special day honestly ^^;
Well just starting from ytd there was this discussion about my DIM album, so i thought it'd be nice to show yokkax (if u ever come back lol) and aki what i got from Brand-X's goodies when i ordered my first press DIM from them.

i got a poster, desk calendar, sticker, cellphone sticker, and a random gift from them.

This is the DIM album... which i'm sure all of you know. LOL.

i didn't take a photo of my full poster cos i haven't taken it out from the packaging lol! but basically it's the overused official picture as above~ the same ones found on their myspace too~

Sticker that was given~

this is the cellphone sticker. well, i assume it's the size for a docomo (MORE REASON FOR ME TO GET MYSELF A DOCOMO). i dont think the image shows it very well but it's like a cellphone screen sticker... then it has the logo of the gazette. yeah. well you'll still be able to see through it, because i had a NANA one on my previous phone.. so yeah.

This is the desk calendar. It's like postcards, then with a transparent cover stand. I took out all the cards and took a photo of it to show you guys. Yup. It starts from October 2009 tho. Ends April 2010.

And this is the random gift i got - i got a sticker that was from the Regret era. I think it's their way of clearing those unwanted stock. Yup.
That's the stuff i got! and my day 6 in Japan. I hope it wasn't too boring ^^; ehehe. Take care ne minasan~
